4B3,4 Coronal sections show normal thickness of the cerebral cortex and mottled discoloration with minimal, if any, ventricular dilatation. The hippocampal formation is not grossly atrophic. The caudate and putamen are unremarkable with a hint of orange discoloration in the region of the substantia innominata (arrow, B3).
