10A3,4 Coronal sections of the cerebral hemispheres reveal the anterior temporal lobe is markedly atrophic, demonstrating a paper-thin cortex. The subcortical white matter and that of the centrum semiovale are reduced in volume and the mid-portion of the corpus callosum is particularly thin. The lateral ventricles show expansion and blunting of their angles.
