2D1 Pick Dz (Case 2) L5 3R 40X 1
In some current studies the presence of 3R repeat tau immunoreactivity of Pick bodies and Pick cells is a requirement for a strict diagnosis of Pick disease. As a result recent ADRC cases have been stained for 3R Tau and 4R Tau. ---- As shown in this 3R Tau stained image Pick bodies and ballooned Pick cells are three-repeat tau protein (3R Tau) immunoreactive. and do not stain with monoclonal antibody to 4-repeat tau protein (4RTau). (3R Tau IHC) ---- Subsequent images will be shown as comparison matched pairs and confirm Pick bodies and Pick cells stain strongly for 3R Tau and do not stain with monoclonal antibody to 4-repeat tau protein (4R Tau). (3R Tau IHC)
