At autopsy the weight of the unfixed brain is 1120 grams. The circle of Willis is intact, though the left anterior cerebral and left posterior communicating arteries are of relatively small caliber. ---- 3A1-4 The left hemisphere exhibits severe atrophy over the frontal, parietal and temporal lobes, with relative sparing of the occipital lobe. The right hemisphere exhibits moderate atrophy over the frontal and temporal lobes, with sparing of the parietal and occipital lobes.
