Comment: Alzheimer disease neuropathologic change (ADNC), evident from the finding of beta-amyloid plaques, is difficult to stage with certainty, due to the severe tauopathy associated with Pick disease, and a somewhat atypical distribution of amyloid plaques. Notably absent are inclusions immunoreactive for phosphorylated TDP-43 or phosphorylated alpha-synuclein.
