5A3,4 Coronal slicing of the formalin-fixed left hemibrain confirmed the medial>lateral atrophy of the frontal lobe; severe atrophy of the anterior temporal lobe, including also the ventromedial insular cortex, amygdala and hippocampus (with relative sparing of only the superior temporal gyrus and, regionally, the middle temporal gyrus).
