5D1 Picks Dz (Case 5) L5 3R Tau 4X
In some current studies the presence of 3R repeat tau immunoreactivity of Pick bodies and Pick cells is a requirement for a strict diagnosis of Pick disease. As a result recent ADRC cases have been stained for 3R Tau and 4R Tau. ---- Subsequent images will be shown as comparison matched pairs and confirm that Pick bodies and Pick cells stain strongly for 3R Tau and do not stain with monoclonal antibody to 4-repeat tau protein (4R Tau). (3R Tau IHC) ---- 5D1,2 Pick bodies and Pick cells at 4X magnification are 3R Tau immunoreactive (5D1) and fail to label with 4R Tau (5D2). (3R and 4R Tau IHC)
