7A3-5 Serial coronal sections show severe hydrocephalus and marked cortical atrophy involving most dramatically the frontal and temporal lobes. The caudate nuclei are shrunken bilaterally. The caudal parieto-occipital lobe shows a more limited degree of atrophy (7A5). The substantia nigra and locus ceruleus are normally pigmented. No other lesions are identified.
