3A1,2 The most impressive alteration in the spinal cord sections is the presence of large numbers of polyglucosan bodies (PGB) in the various white matter tracts, both in subpial and perivascular sites as well as diffusely in the parenchyma. There is marked deposition of PGBs in the dorsal horn gray matter and adjacent dorsal columns.
