14B14-17 Microscopic appearance of the cerebellum is remarkable for a well-preserved complement of Purkinje and granular cells. Within the dentate nucleus; however, there is neuronal loss and concomitant gliosis, with scattered intact neurons containing globose tangles and substantial grumose degeneration. (H&E)
