The hippocampal entorhinal cortex shows numerous tufted astrocytes and scattered cortical neurons. All these tau-immunoreactive cells and inclusions are abundant in the parahippocampal gyrus, entorhinal cortex, amygdala and hippocampus and moderate to frequent in the frontal lobe. (PHF1 IHC)
