I searched extensively for Opalski cells, particularly in the globus pallidus, and this single cell was all I found. In some references this cell would fit with the Opalski cell designation, but others show much smaller compacted forms. (H&E). Typically, Opalski cells have small, darkly stained nuclei and granular eosinophilic cytoplasm. (H&E)
