23A1,2 This Pacinian corpuscle contains multiple swollen axons with numerous cytosomes and several normal axons. Although the lamellae are those of a Pacinian corpuscle the central axons are unusual. I initially though this might be a weird muscle spindle but there are no sarcomeres to support that. Are the swollen axons dilated dystrophic axons?
