At autopsy external examination showed multiple joint contractures, club feet with facial flattening as secondary manifestations of the oligohydramnios sequence. This is the sural nerve obtained at autopsy. ---- 4A1-3 Multiple progressive magnifications of the sural nerve from this infant. Again, there are numerous axons without myelin sheaths, and a largely monomorphic population of myelinated axons. (Toluidine blue-stained one-micron thick plastic-embedded section)
