At autopsy global acute and subacute hypoxic-ischemic injury involved the CNS diffusely and subacute hemorrhage in the white matter of the right occipital lobe and left cerebellar hemisphere. The sural nerve was removed at autopsy. ---- 6A1-3 These axons are more bimodal with lesser amount of neuropil. (Toluidine blue-stained one-micron thick plastic-embedded section)
