Case 1 History ---- The patient is a 58-year-old male with diabetes and end stage renal disease and an outside diagnosis of CIDP presenting with progressive numbness and weakness in his hands and feet. EMG/NCS showed severe mixed demyelinating and axonal features. Laboratory findings showed elevated FGFR3 antibodies and elevated serum neurofilament light chains. Operative procedure: muscle biopsy, AIN nerve biopsy. ---- 1A1 This is a section of the AIN biopsy in this case. (Toluidine-blue stained one-micron thick plastic embedded section)
