2A2-4 Higher magnification images show large numbers of clusters of thinly myelinated small axons mimicking regenerative clusters. There are minimal numbers of obviously actively degenerating and only modest axons thinly myelinated for axon caliber as might be expected as end stages of regenerating clusters.
