6A3,4 These higher magnification images show little active axonal degeneration but the patchy loss of axons suggests this is neuropathy and the presence of axons with myelin thin for axon caliber also contributes to the diagnostic security. Luckily, we were able to identify pathology which would not be expected in a normal nerve but the less experience the more likely the possibility of over-interpretation.
