2A1 At autopsy the unfixed brain weighed 1350g. The leptomeninges are thin, tan brown and unremarkable, without areas of thickening or exudate. Coronal sections through the cerebral hemispheres demonstrate widening of the sulci, and dilatation of the lateral ventricles, consistent with atrophy. The ependymal lining (arrows) is granular throughout. There are no basal ganglia “soap bubble” lesions often seen with cryptococcus
