Higher magnification of the endoneurium with prominent inflammation and epithelioid histiocytes lacking multinucleated giant cells. (H&E) ---- Not shown: Acid fast bacilli were seen on Fite stain, and organisms were identified on electron microscopy. Strictly speaking this is not an example of pure tuberculoid leprosy, more an example of borderline tuberculoid leprosy.
