Circumferential collagen shows banding. (electron micrograph) ---- Interpretation: This is an abnormal nerve with only one endoneurial vessel staining for C5b-9 (not HIEM). This is not the typical classical pattern of diabetic vasculopathy consisting of multiple concentric basal lamina processes but could this represent part of a continuum of diabetic vasculopathy? In the other cases to be shown subsequently there is no clinical history of diabetes.
