9A1A-C This is a multiple label examination of a SMG (of an aged person in this case). NPY is stained red (9A1A) and green stained material is antibody HO57 which labels the phosphorylated epitope of high molecular weight neurofilament (~P+ NFH, 9A2). HO57 preferentially labels axons and dystrophic elements arising from them and largely fails to label cell bodies and dendrites.
