13A Neuroma, traumatic (Case 13) gross 3
Case 13 History ---- The patient is a 59 year old woman with a left neck mass. The original story (now lost) was that this patient had a radical neck dissection for laryngeal carcinoma and, some time thereafter developed a lump thought to represent a recurrence. Clinical diagnosis: Left neck mass. Operative procedure: Excision. ---- 13A The gross specimen demonstrates a mass arising from a sizable nerve. The dark structure long claimed to be a blood vessel turned out to be something else.
