Case 19 History ---- The patient is a 16 year old male with right sciatic nerve traumatic injury 6 weeks prior to this biopsy. Operative procedure: Resection of the “neuroma” with cadaver nerve transplant across the defect. ---- 19A1,2 This is the proximal S1 root which is swollen and hypercellular but there is no suggestion that the perineurium has been breached or formed mini-fascicles.
