26J1-9 One micron thick plastic sections of the nerve show a complex histopathology involving all elements of the nerve. ---- This whole mount shows the residua of damage to the sural nerve. The patterns vary between fascicles (arrows). The area (arrowheads) at the right margin appears to be a fascicle in longitudinal section, likely resulting from nerve distortion during injury and surgeries. (Plastic sections)
