Case 3 History ---- The patient is a 35-year-old male with a history of malignant granular cell tumor involving the 2nd webspace of the left hand status-post excision with positive margins. Operative procedure: Left hand amputation. ---- 3A1-3 This is a longitudinal section of one nerve fascicle showing degenerating globular debris consistent with surgical trauma from the original tumor resection. Some fascicles (not shown) show nearly normal axonal preservation (H&E)
