Case 13 History ---- The patient is a 30-year-old woman with a history of peripheral neuropathy and hearing loss after a COVID infection 3 years previously with nerve conduction studies concerning for severe sensory motor polyneuropathy. She presented with worsening of her chronic neuropathic pain, prompting nerve and muscle biopsies for further evaluation. Operative procedure: left sural nerve and left vastus lateralis muscle biopsies. ---- 13A1 A relatively low magnification image shows a fascicle with apparently numerous myelinated axons.
