21E2,3 The myelinated axon density varies from fascicle to fascicle but is not absent in any fascicle, including this one (arrow, 21E2) which should be compared to arrowed image 21D2 that is the fascicle most involved with macrophage infiltration. The fascicle with most CD68 immunoreactivity has a definite decrease in axon density but It is certainly not a yes/no call. (NF IHC)
