21F4E-H A population of macrophages are adjacent to pale processes, some of which may be preserved axons but others represent Schwann cell processes. Specifically, there are numerous pale, circular processes which may cluster together mimicking demyelinated axons but, from our past experience, tend to represent dilated Schwann cell processes.
