1G2 (Case 1)_014 - Copy
1G2-4 There is marked loss of large and small myelinated fibers with preferential loss of small fibers and well as loss of unmyelinated axons. There are occasional macrophages floating free among background collagen. There is no evidence of active demyelination. Bands of Büngner are present, as are Schwann cell processes wrapping around strands of collagen (i.e., "collagen pockets").
