Serial sections of the brainstem and cerebellum at 3-4 mm intervals revealed the aqueduct of Sylvius and fourth ventricle to be patent, of normal size, and lined by smooth glistening ependyma . The loci coerulei and substantia nigra are distinct and normally pigmented.
