Case 16 History ---- This 87yo male with a remote medical history of head trauma and reparative surgery involving the resection of a portion of the temporal bone and extraction of an underlying subdural hematoma. ---- 16A1 At autopsy the brain weighed 1230g. Examination of the brain revealed a well circumscribed cortical defect in the left temporal lobe adjacent to the Sylvian fissure, underlying a large defect in the temporal bone.
