Case 17 History ---- The patient is a 44yo male with a past medical history significant for alcohol abuse and schizophrenia. He suffered a severe head injury in December 1980 when he was hit on the head with a baseball bat. Six months later he developed a poorly controlled seizure disorder characterized by prolonged generalized tonic -clonic seizures. ---- 17A1 The dorsal aspect of the cerebral hemispheres shows contusions in multiple places, an unusual pattern of injury likely related to multiple blunt injuries to the superior skull surface.
