At autopsy the fresh brain weighed 1490g. ---- 3A2,3 Subarachnoid hemorrhage of the left temporal, parietal, and occipital lobes and cerebellar hemispheres. An organizing blood clot (3 x 2 x 2 cm) was present in the subarachnoid space with an extension into necrotic regions of the middle and inferior temporal gyri and an area of discoloration and necrosis (1 cm diameter) in the left occipitotemporal gyrus.
