Case 17 History ---- This is a 48-year-old male with a history of a subarachnoid hemorrhage from an aneurysm who subsequently underwent an anterior cerebral artery aneurysm clipping. It was discovered on this admission that patient also had a left frontal AVM. It was not resected at that time due to increased risk of cerebral swelling and potential for neurologic deficit due to the recent subarachnoid hemorrhage. The patient underwent embolization of the AVM and, six weeks after, craniotomy for AVM resection.
