Case 21 History ---- The patient is a seven-year-old girl with a remote history of seizures in infancy who presented with a 1 day headache, nausea and vomiting. Work up imaging showed an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) with associated bleeding in the left frontal lobe. Operative procedure: Craniotomy, left-sided resection of AVM. ---- 21A1,2 This hybrid arterial vessel gives rise to a venous structure without an intervening capillary bed (H&E)
