Case 26 History ---- This is a 35-year-old female with a complaint of headaches since her teens. In August 2003, the headaches became more severe and did resolve. She has vision impairment in her left quadrant upper peripheral loss. A head CT revealed an AVM in the right occipital area. She underwent six embolizations with N-Butyl cyanoacrylate by interventional radiology two weeks prior to this admission for the actual resection. ---- Gross appearance of the neurosurgical specimen demonstrates numerous torturous large vessels and islands of residual brain parenchyma.
