1A1-3 The neurosurgical specimen included brain parenchyma with a collection of leptomeningeal vessels. The leptomeningeal vessels show fibrinoid necrosis with marked disruption of the vessel walls and prominent epithelioid histiocytic reaction. This area will be shown in multiple subsequent images stained with a variety of markers. (H&E)
