Case 5 History ---- The patient was a 63 year-old woman with new onset of tonic-clonic seizures. MRI of the brain shows hyperintense FLAIR signal intensity in the right temporal cortex with edema in the right temporal white matter. There is also leptomeningeal enhancement in bilateral parietal and temporal lobes, right greater than left. Differential diagnosis included viral encephalitis, less likely infarct, lymphoma or gliomatosis cerebri. Operative procedure: Stealth guided brain biopsy.
