Comment: The Gram stain and GMS staining were negative for macrophage-engulfed bacteria and fungi within the precise site of rupture of the aneurysm itself. Nonetheless, the preponderance of the historical, histologic and immunohistologic evidence favors this as an unruptured infective aneurysm.
