Washington University Experience | VASCULAR | Aneurysm - Saccular | 16A2 Aneurysm, ACA & hemorrhage (Case 16) 2
16A2,3 Coronal sections of the cerebral hemispheres reveal that both anterior lateral ventricles as well as a cavum septum pellucidum are partially filled with blood clot in continuity with the aneurysm which appears to have ruptured through the gyrus rectus. In the cerebral cortex, diffuse ischemic neuronal necrosis and multiple foci of infarction are present in left frontal and occipital lobes and hippocampus. There was evidence of Lewy Body Parkinson Disease and Alzheimer disease as well.
