Case 3 History ---- The patient was a 33 year old male without significant prior medical history, who became acutely unresponsive during intercourse. EMS was called and the patient was in pulseless electromechanical arrest. He was brought to an OSH and then transferred to BJH. Head CT revealed subarachnoid hemorrhage. There was no evidence of brain stem function. Mechanical ventilatory support was withdrawn and he died. ---- 3A1,2 A large and diffuse subarachnoid hemorrhage is seen in fresh (3A1) and fixed (3A2) brain.
