Case 2 No History ---- The diffuse involvement of the vertebral and basilar arteries by atherosclerosis has resulted in dolichoectasia in which the vertebral/basilar arteries are elongated, distended and tortuous which may result in compressive or ischemic symptoms. Similar changes are seen in the internal carotid and middle cerebral arteries.
