Case 10 History ---- The patient is a 48-year-old woman with a stable superficial right parietal lesion, first noted radiologically in 2007 during an evaluation for hearing loss. Magnetic resonance imaging shows a ~1 cm lesion with central mixed signal intensity on T1 and T2-weighted images, with a surrounding rim of hypointensity. The lesion enhances on postcontrast images, and the susceptibility sensitive sequence demonstrates signal loss throughout the lesion with surrounding blooming. Radiological impression: Cavernoma. Operative procedure: Right craniotomy and resection.
