1A1-6 The circle of Willis is shown in this 45 year old man with a long history of poorly controlled hypertension eventually resulting in renal failure. Atherosclerosis of the vessels composing the circle of Willis is diffuse making the vasculature easy to dissect and display. ---- The vertebrobasilar vessels of the circle of Willis prior to dissection show dolichoectasia.
