Case 30 History ---- The patient is a 64 year old man with a history of hypertension, hypertension, stroke, and coronary artery disease who presented to an outside hospital with headache. He was transferred to BJH. CT of the head showed a right temporo-parietal parenchymal hemorrhage. Angiography showed no evidence of an intracranial vascular malformation or aneurysm. Operative procedure: Right fronto-temporo-parietal craniotomy with evacuation of intraparenchymal hematoma. ---- 30A1,2 In older patients with lobar hemorrhages in the absence of trauma neurosurgical evacuated clot may contain amyloid vessels (H&E)
