At autopsy the weight of the unfixed brain was 77.7 g (normal for 24 weeks EGA = 83+/15 g). There was ventricular hemorrhage extending to the basal subarachnoid space. Sections of neural tissue reveal moderate intraventricular hemorrhage, without demonstrable parenchymal hemorrhage.
