15A0 Case 15 History
Case 15 History ---- The patient was born on 7/5 (EAE 30-32 weeks) from a 19 year old G2P1A0 mother with a question of a treated vaginal infection during the pregnancy. The pregnancy was uncomplicated until ruptured membranes occurred spontaneously 5 hours prior to delivery. There were several spontaneous breaths followed by a cessation of respirations. Despite maximum ventilation on a volume respirator with 100% oxygen and additional bicarbonate IV the child’s heart rate fell and without response to attempts at resuscitation. The child was pronounced dead on 7-5.
