Case 1 History ---- This twin was born severely premature (27 weeks) and developed pulmonary hemorrhage, diffuse alveolar damage and hyaline membrane disease, expiring at the age of 5 days. ---- 1A Coronal section shows a SEGM hemorrhage essentially confined to the matrix with little effect on the adjacent ventricles.
