Case 10 History ---- The patient was a 73 year old man with left hand and forearm numbness. CT scan revealed a subdural hematoma which was removed surgically. ---- 10A1,2 Sections show an organizing hematoma. There are red blood cell breakdown products with focal hemosiderin and hematoidin pigment. At the periphery the clot is present between two fibrous membranes and is accompanied by granulation tissue with capillary and fibroblast proliferation. (H&E)
